Dieting with wife maybe a bad idea

Day 4 & 5

Sorry about yesterday I was crazy busy, but you didn't miss much. Day 4 was another cardio day, and while I was very sore I managed to have a great cardio workout( that was hard to type).

Today was day 5 a my schedule was all off. My daughter woke up late so I slept in. I didn't get enough meals in and by the time I hit the gym( 2 protein shakes all day) I was done halfway through the workout. I missed the intervals at the end. There was just no way to get through when my stomach was eating itself.

Now on to a different matter. Dieting with your wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or whatever, it is a bad idea!!!! From the time she got home till just before bed we fought. Not bad fights but enough to be annoying for the both of us. Well when you boil down our arguments it was because we were both hungry as hell, and not for what was on our meal plans. After calming down a bit and talking(communication is key to everything ;) we found out both our days were not good dieting days. We didn't stick with plan like the other days and now we wanted to kill each other.

The thing is the Warp Speed Fat Loss program we are on comes with idiot proof diet menus. Well guess what these idiots didn't do? Yep stick to the plan. Even though we both wanted some Mexican food topped off with brownies over ice cream, we stayed strong kissed hugged and made up and ate our chicken and broccoli. Yummy!

Moral of this story is stick to the plan and of course communicate and weight loss and marriage will be great.

By the way we have both lost 5 lbs in 5 days! Learn how http://tinyurl.com/yhcayfc

Day 3

So when I woke up this morning I got on the scale and did 2 measurements. My weight was 230.5, that's down 4.5 pounds since Monday. I wasn't to surprised by that, I usually loss weight pretty quickly at first( probably do to my gross overeating). I was surprised by the other two measurements. My waist and belly button circumferences where both down an inch. Very happy with these results so far.

Food Prep

Being prepared is very important in anything we do, I think even more so when your getting prepared for a diet. The more things that are in place the less chance you have to mess it up! Well the WSFL(http://tinyurl.com/yhcayfc ) program does everything but make your food and take you to the gym. So the night before I made some food for the upcoming week, and cut some chicken into the proper serving sizes for my wife and I. Below are some clips of the food prep:

Pictures and Videos

Here are a couple of pictures that show the sad state my body is currently in. Sorry they are all self taken shots, I will get some better pics later this week.

In The Hamster Wheel

Day 2 is over and all is well so far. Today was a interval/ steady state cardio day. Anyone who knows me knows I HATE cardio. I feel like I am in a hamster wheel and just going nowhere, and I think it is rather pointless. Interval training is slightly more tolerable but hard just the same. So I suffered through my cardio day and after felt pretty good. When this Warp Speed Fat Loss program is over I will do my cardio the way I love and that is playing sports. But this shit works for real. I lost 1.5 lbs in one day!!!

Hop in the Hamster wheel with me and loss some weight: http://tinyurl.com/yhcayfc

Eat like a Baby

Day 2- I am a stay at home dad right now. I am going to school but in the meantime while I finish school I watch my little baby girl Addison. Her routine is pretty nice: she is up between 7:30 and 8 eats, plays, naps at 9-9:30 to 11. She then gets up at and eats again, plays some more etc...

Addison's eating schedule:

8:30am- breakfast
11:30am- lunch
2:00pm- snack
4:oopm- snack 2

6:oopm- dinner

So what does this all mean? Why did I just go through my 11 month old feeding schedule? It drives home a point that many people don't understand, you have to eat frequently throughout the day. Now a baby eats like this because they are growing and growing very fast, but when your trying to loss weight you need to maintain your blood sugar and all other hormones that make it possible to lose weight.

So if you want to lose weight, gain muscle or just stay healthy, EAT LIKE A BABY!!

I got to go and feed the little one but if you want to eat like a baby and don't what to plan your own meals check out the program: http://tinyurl.com/yhcayfc

Warp Speed Fat Loss

Today I started the Warp Speed Fat Loss program by Alwyn Cosgrove and Mike Roussell. I have done this program before and it works very well, but this time I am going document my experience. I will post some pics and videos and my thoughts as I go through this process of fat loss( which I hate).

So after a weekend of gluttony and feeling like complete poop, we started the program(my wife and I ). By yesterday afternoon I couldn't be happier that the day has come to start the program. To give you a little background about me and why I am doing this now, I start by telling you I love to eat. My friends always say they wonder how I am not a bigger fat ass. While I love to eat I also like to workout, there was a time when I was younger where my buddy Jon and I would eat, workout, lay out, grill out and sleep(not together) and that was great. Well I have gotten older, got married and had a kid(little girl) and my time to all of the laying around has been taken up by changing diapers, grocery shopping and watching Gossip Girl(because my wife loves that show). So needless to say my eating and workout routines over the last year or 2 have been spotty at best. Pile all that up and add the fact that the holiday season is upon us, this can only lead to body composition disaster. I read somewhere that the average American gains 10 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years. Since I have already gained that this year I thought it would be wise to stop the bleeding and start the New Year in a overall fat loss deficit for the year.

So here are my stats taken on Day 1:

Weight: 235lbs
belly button circumference: 42
waist: 40
chest(nip line):44
upper arm: 16 7/8

So here we go. I will see if I can post my wife's stats.
